Tony
Jones has had a highly successful
career , reaching the management board
level of two multi - national companies
after starting at the " shop floor " level.
He also took time out to work as a management
consultant for 5 years.
.He has lived and worked overseas for over
20 years, mainly in Asia, Middle East and
Africa .
He retired from BAT Hong Kong and moved back
to the UK in 2005 . After a short period of
self-reflection, Tony began to advise others

Tony's
strength is his vast experience, track record
and
his pragmatic approach to solving business
problems . His credo is " If I haven't
personally experienced it, I don't give advice
on it". He is equally comfortable dealing

start - ups .

He can bring particular knowledge to the cultural
and other challenges of doing business overseas,
be it basic exports, JV or total local investment
.
Tony is also currently engaged in coaching/mentoring
a number of CEO's of small businesses . This
is unstructured and mainly entails being a sounding
board for new initiatives , plus assistance with
tough decisions . As ever, this is more about
people than products or processes.
He has also given experienced based short lectures
on the lessons he has learned about doing business
during his long career . A series of real life
anecdotes, lessons learned, followed by a Q & A
session.
Tony can speak to both the business and academic
community alike , and produce tailored lectures
on request eg " Establishing a JV in China" recently
requested by a Hong Kong university. |
